For the love of dogs

Animals and dogs in particular, have always played an import part in my life. From a young age I have wanted to take up a career that involved my love of dogs.

I started out with 7 years working in Boarding Kennels and Catteries and within 2 years I set up a grooming business from this establishment. I gained so much from this job learning all about the different types of breeds and temperaments. I soon gained my qualifications, firstly a NVQ in animal care followed by a NVQ in customer care to an Advanced City & Guilds Dog Grooming Qualification.

I spent 2 years in full time grooming then announced the opening of the now highly successful Cottage Canine Grooming. On route, my journey has included owning, breeding and competing my own dogs. It really is a life of fulfillment and a job that is a big part of my personal life.

I currently own 2 border terriers, 'Tink' &'Tilly' and one Border Collie 'Nell'. 'Nell' is my new challenge, at 2.5 years she is competing at novice dog agility and we are both loving every minute of it. (see pictures) She is better at it than me! But I am learning fast, watch this space for Nell's progress over 2009.
